I agree. The Rail Trail could be a great opportunity for downtown. However, Durham needs improved bike infrastructure if it can become a place where families and residents feel safe biking from their homes to the American Tobacco Trail or the Rail Trail to get across town. I've discussed in past posts how I've felt unsafe the past six months biking on Durham's lackluster bike lanes. Hopefully this infrastructure improves as this project comes along.
